Yes, I am a Tebow hater. There goes that secret

There were so many comments on my last post about Tim Tebow that I figured it’d be best to write a general reply.
Thank you to everyone who commented and read the post. I always appreciate your feedback, as hateful and wrong as some of it is.

I’d like to address a few key points that some of you made in your comments.

1. I certainly do believe in free speech. That’s one of my favorite freedoms given to us by this great country. It gives me the freedom and opportunity to write a rant about how I do not like Tim Tebow, and it gives readers the freedom to post their thoughts on what I have written, regardless of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and a lack of rational intelligence. I’d like to add that there is a slight difference in meaning between you’re and your. Of course, you’re entitled to write anything you’d like, it just makes it easier to read if you use the correct spelling.

2. I also believe in the freedom of religion. You can believe in anything you’d like, especially when you can ignore your religious teachings and hate on people who believe differently. That’s your (Not you’re) right.

3. For those of you who plainly said I’m just a Tebow hater, well, you’re absolutely right. I’m alright with that. I don’t like him as a player, and he annoys me when he speaks. His beliefs are not specifically why I don’t like him. If he was not insistent about spreading the gospel, I’d still feel the same about him. If he were a Browns player, I’d still feel the same about him.

4. For those of you who say you love what he’s saying and you’re happy to listen to him, good for you! I hope you give the same courtesy and love to the door-to-door people looking to spread the word on the Book of Mormon. Do you do that? Do you really?

5. I also want to thank the few people who agreed with what I said. I appreciate that you understood that what prompted my initial bashing of Tebow was that he should not be among the top QB’s in Pro Bowl voting.

I appreciate someone who knows the difference between you’re and your, as well as it’s and its. But did you realize that alright is really not all right? Alright is one of those words that is slowly creeping into the language, but in second grade we learned that it is not a word.

I just read back through my post Gary and must’ve missed where I wrote “All right” instead of “Alright”. If you can find it, please point it out to me. I’m certainly not above making mistakes. I think that if you read through some of the other comments on the previous post, you’ll see that there are far worse mistakes than any minor thing you might nitpick from my writing. I think there’s a serious education problem in America and the amount of illiterate people is a bit scary.

Apparently Gary was trying to say that “Alright” isn’t a word. Well, here’s an explanation on the word “Alright” from dictionary.reference.com.

    Usage note
The form alright as a one-word spelling of the phrase all right in all of its senses probably arose by analogy with such words as already and altogether. Although alright is a common spelling in written dialogue and in other types of informal writing, all right is used in more formal, edited writing.

So there you have it. There is nothing formal about my blog.

HONOR GOD! I REPEAT… HONOR GOD! God has chosen me to share something with you… so listen up. God’s Word is true. In Genesis 3:1 the serpent said to Eve… “Did God really say?”… and Satan will likely do the same when I show you what I am about to show you. In Exodus 23:13, GOD says… “Be sure to do all that I have said to you. You must not even say the names of other gods; those names must not come out of your mouth.” NIKE is named after the evil pagan goddess Nike. Some Christian athletes even promote NIKE and God does not like it. Why does God not like it? Because He is a jealous God. HE IS TO BE HONORED! GOD ALONE! Read about God’s anger against those who followed other gods. You already know what God said about even mentioning their names. And when God tells you that NIKE does not honor HIm, don’t listen to the enemy say “Did God really say?” Read God’s Word for yourself. He said it! Don’t ever wear the name of a pagan goddess on you. HONOR GOD! That is what you should do for all that He has done for you.

You should live in Denver like I do!! All we hear on TV and Radio is about Tebow! I don’t think he’s that great a quarterback, but the constant
shoving religion down everybody’s throat makes me GAG!! Practice your religion at home, but not in public or on the field!! Everyone knows
where to go if they want a dose of religion, and it’s not on the NFL on Sunday!!!!

  6. Morris Says:

It is suppose to be that the defense was tremendous, but there is the intangible “phenomenon Tebow”. I guess that deserves discussion about what the Broncos record would have Kyle Orton continued to play. It looked like a losing team with Orton. The D is great, but Tebow say what someone should get some credit for the 7-1. QB is usually judged by victory and defeat plain and simple. The numbers may not be there but the most important. Now this could be the Trent Dilfer argument again, but these reimbursements fourth quarter just make the discussion more interesting.anyway, for more news, we can visit http://www.tebowformvp.com/... thanx

You have to love the irony of a person with the screen name “your tarded” who says “youre tarded dont hate cuz the browns suck and your qb is a texan”, lolzzzzzzzzzzzz. Reading the comments on your original blog post made for great entertainment, while at the same time made me weep for this country’s educational system.

I completely agree with your thoughts on Tim Tebow. Trust me, if Tim Tebow were Muslim and was spouting off about Allah all the time, these same people would suddenly have a HUGE problem with Tim Tebow constantly talking about his religion.
